Get Out the Vote - Strengthening our Community's Voice

At Korean Community Services (KCS), we believe that every vote matters and every voice counts. With the support of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders New Jersey (AAPI New Jersey), we are proud to launch the Get Out the Vote initiative in Bergen County, New Jersey - marking our first year bringing this effort to the local community.

This initiative is more than just a campaign - it's a long term commitment to building a stronger, more engaged community. By encouraging voter participation, we work to ensure that the diverse voices in our neighborhoods are heard, valued, and represented in our democracy. Civic engagement is not only a right - it's a shared responsibility that shapes the future we all share.

What We Do

Through Get Out the Vote, KCS offers resources, guidance, and personalized support to help residents take part in elections confidently and effectively. Our services include:

Voter Registration Assistance - Helping new voters complete their registration accurately and on time.
Polling Place Guidance - Providing clear directions so you know where and how to cast your vote.
Election Information - Sharing up-to-date details about upcoming elections, voting procedures, and important deadlines.

Who Can Vote in New Jersey

You can register and vote in New Jersey if you:

Are a U.S. citizen
Will be at least 18 years old by Election Day
Have lived at your current address for at least 30 days before the election
Do not claim the right to vote in another location

KCS NJ는 AAPI New Jersey의 지원으로로, 뉴저지 버겐 카운티에서 Get Out the Vote(투표 참여 캠페인) 프로그램을 처음으로 시작하게 되었습니다.

이번 프로그램은, 지역 주민들이 선거에 참여하도록 독려하고 모든 목소리가 민주주의 속에서 존중받을 수 있도록 돕기 위해 마련되었습니다. 유권자 등록 지원, 투표소 안내, 선거 정보 제공 등 다양한 지원 활동을 통해, 주민들이 자신 있게 투표에 참여할 수 있도록 안내합니다. 이번 프로그램을 통해 커뮤니티의 참여와 목소리를 강화하고, 지역사회가 더욱 활기차고 포용적인 공간으로 성장할 수 있도록 함께 노력하고자 합니다.

활동 및 지원 사항

KCS의 Get Out the Vote 프로그램은 주민들이 자신 있게 선거에 참여할 수 있도록 자료, 안내, 맞춤형 지원을 제공합니다. 주요 서비스는 다음과 같습니다:

유권자 등록 지원 - 신규 유권자가 정확하고 기한 내에 등록할 수 있도록 돕습니다.
투표소 안내 - 어디서, 어떻게 투표할지 명확한 안내를 제공합니다.
선거 정보 제공 - 다가오는 선거, 투표 절차, 중요 기한에 대한 관련 정보를 공요합니다.

뉴저지 유권자 자격 요건

다음 조건을 충족하면, 등록하고 투표할 수 있습니다:

미국 시민권자
선거일 기준 만 18세 이상
선거 30일 전까지 현재 거주지에서 거주
다른 곳에서 투표권을 행사하지 않음
