SCSEP 이란?
SCSEP (Senior Community Service Employment Program, ‘씨셉’으로 부름) 은 미국 노인법 Title V 에 의해 정부로부터 재정 지원을 받으며, 연방 노동부에서 관리합니다.
● 55세 이상으로서 직업이 없으며 취업 가능성이 낮은 저소득 장년층에게
지역봉사단체에서 파트타임으로 일할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
● 경제적 자립을 장려합니다.
● 정부 지원을 받지 않는 일반 직장에 취업할 수 있도록 지원합니다.
(비영리단체와 공공기관, 사무와 주방보조, 고객응대, 시설관리 등)
WHAT IS THE SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SCSEP)?
The Senior Community Service Employment Program is funded under Title V of the Older
Americans Act and is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
● To foster and promote useful part-time opportunities in community service activities for
unemployed low-income persons who are age 55 or older and who have poor
employment prospects;
● To foster individual economic self-sufficiency
● To assist older persons in transitioning to unsubsidized employment.
(Non-profit organizations and public institutions (office and kitchen assistance, customer
service, facility management, etc.)
