The Senior Community Service Employment Program is funded under Title V of the Older
Americans Act and is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).

● To foster and promote useful part-time opportunities in community service activities for
unemployed low-income persons who are age 55 or older and who have poor
employment prospects;
● To foster individual economic self-sufficiency
● To assist older persons in transitioning to unsubsidized employment.
(Non-profit organizations and public institutions (office and kitchen assistance, customer
service, facility management, etc.)
